MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship in The Sustainable Twin Transition

The University of Camerino invites expressions of interest from postdoctoral researchers wishing to apply for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026 in the field of private law, sustainability, and legal innovation. The project, hosted by Prof. Lucia Ruggeri at the School of Law, focuses on the legal implications of the green and digital transitions within the framework of European policies and the UN Agenda 2030.

Prof. Lucia Ruggeri is Full Professor of Private Law and Dean of the School of Law at the University of Camerino. Her research focuses on contract law, family law, bioethics law, and sustainability law, with particular attention to citizens’ rights and access to justice. She is involved in international research networks and European projects, including the Jean Monnet initiative CLOSER.

The research is hosted at the School of Law, which provides access to interdisciplinary legal research networks, EU documentation centres, and collaborations with public and private stakeholders working on sustainability and legal innovation.

Research Topic and Project Idea

The project, entitled “The Sustainable Twin Transition”, investigates how legal systems, and particularly private law, respond to the challenges of sustainability and technological change. It focuses on the interaction between legal frameworks and European policy instruments related to clean energy, sustainable consumption, and digital transformation, analysing their impact on contracts, liability, and citizens’ rights.

The position is suitable for candidates with a background in private or comparative law, interested in sustainability, legal innovation, and EU law. The fellowship will support the development of competences in the legal analysis of green and digital transitions and in the evolution of contractual and regulatory frameworks.
