Scientific Research Management
The University Management for Scientific Research carries out an action to encourage, monitor and review the policies and scientific research activities of the University.
Functions
Based on the directives and policies established by the University’s governing bodies, and taking into account the proposals from the Schools and their respective research groups, as well as suggestions from external advisory boards, the University Management for Scientific Research:
Provides support for research activities by fostering and promoting synergies among research groups, encouraging the creation of targeted research clusters, and coordinating initiatives within thematic platforms or projects funded by the University (FAR) or other initiatives—particularly those with an interdisciplinary focus—capable of attracting resources and funding at both national and international levels;
Designs and coordinates a process to characterize and define the research activities carried out within the University, making them more identifiable to potential external partners and funding agencies;
Carries out governance activities to harmonize technical and operational procedures, ensuring that the work of individual structures aligns with the overall vision for research activities.
