How to Apply
The proposal is developed jointly by the applicant, the supervisor and UNICAM as host institution. This includes the definition of the research project, the training activities and the dissemination strategy, in line with the applicant’s career objectives and the MSCA framework.

If no suitable topic is identified, candidates may explore the UNICAM academic staff directory docenti.unicam.it to find a potential supervisor whose research aligns with their interests. In this case, they are welcome to contact the Research Office at area.ricerca@unicam.it to further discuss the idea and, where appropriate, initiate the activation of a new research topic.
About MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
The MSCA-PF is one of the most prestigious schemes under the European Commission’s Horizon Europe Research & Innovation programme. It supports the career development and training of outstanding researchers across all scientific disciplines through international and intersectoral mobility.
Fellows design and carry out their own research project in collaboration with a UNICAM supervisor, gaining valuable new skills and experiences in a supportive international environment.
Are You Eligible?
To be eligible for a MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Doctoral Degree: Hold a doctoral degree or have successfully and unconditionally defended their thesis prior to the call deadline.
Research Experience: No more than 8 years of full-time equivalent research experience since the award of the first doctoral degree.
Career breaks such as parental leave, long-term illness, or time spent outside of research can be excluded from the 8-year eligibility limit, provided they are clearly justified and documented in the application.
Mobility Rule:
For European Fellowships: Candidates must not have lived or carried out their main activity in Italy for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the call deadline.
For Global Fellowships: The same rule applies in relation to the outgoing host institution.
Nationality: Open to researchers of any nationality.
Application Limit: Only one application per candidate in the call.
Reapplication Restriction: Candidates who scored under 70% in the 2025 MSCA PF call are not eligible in 2026.
