The University of Camerino (UNICAM) is part of KreativEU – Knowledge and Creativity European University Alliance, an initiative funded by the European Commission with a contribution of over 14 million euros.

This initiative is part of the Erasmus+ 2021–2027 “European Universities” action, which supports strategic cooperation among universities, student organizations, governments, and the European Commission to achieve excellence in education, research, and innovation. The universities forming the KreativEU alliance share the common vision of building a truly European university.

At its core lies the creative potential of Europe’s cultural heritage, which will guide activities in teaching, research, and knowledge transfer. By engaging in long-term institutional, structural, and strategic cooperation, the partners will transform the study of culture, identity, memory, and heritage, ensuring that their benefits extend to society and contribute to a sustainable and harmonious future.
