Grants and Awards

Applications for grants are now closed!

Applications have reached the limit of available funds. Reduced registration fees and cheap accommodation on campus are still available to encourage the participation of young students/research fellows.

To facilitate the participation of young people, the Italian Synchrotron Radiation Society (SILS) will grant a partial financial support to some of the students and research fellows that will present a contribution (oral or poster) at the Conference.

The support may cover:

  • accommodation on campus (or reimbursement up to a maximum of 30 EUR/night for 2 nights)
  • travel expenses (maximum 200 EUR)

The grant will be provided, up to the limits of available funds, to applicants on the first come first served basis.

The grant may be requested by sending an e-mail to: presidentesils@gmail.com. The message should contain:

  • personal data
  • affiliation
  • title of submitted contribution
  • costs estimates

Documented expenses (copies of receipts are mandatory) will be reimbursed at the Conference by SILS’s treasurer.
