About Jesi

The city of Jesi with its approximately 40000 habitants, is located in the Marche region, at 97 meters above sea level, at 30Km from the Adriatic sea.  It is a city of ancient and important industrial traditions that have occupied the name of "Milano delle Marche" since the end of the nineteenth century. As a testimony to its glorious historical past, which in the twelfth century saw it as the small capital of Respublica Aesina, it preserves a historic center with interesting monuments, still surrounded by a 15th century wall intact intact. Since medieval times it is one of the most important and active centers in the region. It is the third most populous city in the province of Ancona after Ancona and Senigallia. The city is known for the Emperor Frederick II, born in the heart of the town on the 26th of December, 1194 and for important music composers such as Giovan Battista Pergolesi , born there in 1710, and Gaspare Spontini born in 1774 in the neighbouring village of Maiolati
